Dr. Luc Sipkema and his team at Flossing Dentistry are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for every patient during every visit. As a Level 2 Dental Assistant, your role is crucial! Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, all aimed at ensuring efficient and effective operation of the dental practice.
Major Duties (including but not limited to):
Chairside Assistance:
Assist the dentist during dental procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing additional tools as needed.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials for each procedure.
Ensure patient comfort and safety during treatments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Sterilization and Infection Control:
Adhere to strict sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe workplace.
Patient Care and Support:
Greet and escort patients to treatment rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience. Take and record patient medical history.
Radiography:
Perform dental radiographic procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
Qualifications: Completion of a recognized Level 2 Dental Assistant program.
Certification as a Level 2 Dental Assistant.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingualism in any language an asset but not a requirement.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Hours of Work This position is full time with hours of work from Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 1pm.
