In this vital role, you will operate and maintain logging processing equipment, ensuring efficient handling of timber and wood products. Duties
Operate heavy logging equipment such as processors, skidders, and loaders to process logs efficiently
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
Use hand tools and power tools for equipment adjustments, repairs, and site preparation tasks
Assist with landscape maintenance around the logging site to ensure secure access and environmental compliance
Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology for mapping and logging site planning




Drive commercial vehicles to transport logs between processing areas and storage yards following safety protocols
Perform quality checks on processed logs, ensuring they meet industry standards and specifications
50 hrs a week minimum
log Loader style processor

Experience
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on heavy equipment
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment for routine repairs and adjustments
Valid class 5 licence
Prior experience in forestry operations or logging industry highly desirable
