Headway Construction is growing and we’re looking for a skilled Lead Installer to run residential renovation projects on site. This is a hands-on role for someone who leads by example and takes pride in high-quality framing and finishes.
What You’ll Do
Act as the main point of contact on site between field staff and the office
Communicate professionally with homeowners when required
Coordinate schedules and sequencing with other trades
Place material orders and ensure site readiness
Distribute daily tasks to crew members based on skill level
Mentor and develop apprentices
Perform daily safety inspections and ensure site compliance
Resolve site issues quickly and effectively
Perform hands-on work 85%+ of the time, including:
Framing
Drywall & taping
Painting
Tile installation
Trim & finish carpentry
Door installation
General residential renovation work
What We’re Looking For
3+ years experience as a Lead Installer / Lead Carpenter
Proven track record of high-quality completed projects
Strong skills in framing and interior finishes
Red Seal certification considered a strong asset
Ability to communicate clearly with foreign workers
Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
