Take a leadership role in applied biodiversity science at UBC Okanagan. This position blends scientific rigor and collaboration with Indigenous communities to drive impactful biodiversity research initiatives. As the Applied Biodiversity Science Lead, you will oversee biodiversity monitoring and research projects, ensuring scientific excellence in collaboration with government and community partners.

Key competencies include wildlife ecology expertise, data management skills, and effective communication. You’ll engage in project design, data collection, and analysis while fostering valuable relationships with collaborators. Key Responsibilities:
Lead applied wildlife monitoring and biodiversity research projects
Design, develop, and manage data pipelines with quality control




Engage with Indigenous communities to co-develop monitoring programs
Facilitate scientific communication with stakeholders
Prepare technical reports and grant proposals Requirements:
Undergraduate degree and minimum three years' related experience
Familiar with wildlife monitoring and data management
Proficient in R or Python for data analysis
Knowledge of GIS software usage
