Job Overview The Injection Moulding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day injection molding operations to ensure secure, productive, and high-quality production of plastic components. This role leads production teams, monitors processes, troubleshoots molding issues, and ensures production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily injection molding operations across assigned shifts
Lead, train, and motivate machine operators, technicians, and support staff
Ensure molds, machines, and auxiliary equipment are set up and running efficiently
Monitor process parameters and adjust as needed to maintain product quality and cycle times
Troubleshoot molding defects, equipment issues, and production delays
Ensure production schedules and output targets are met
Enforce safety policies, housekeeping standards, and company procedures
Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Production Planning teams
Review production reports, scrap rates, downtime, and corrective actions
Support continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, 5S, scrap reduction)
Ensure proper documentation of processes, work instructions, and shift handovers
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in injection molding operations
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Robust knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and tooling
Experience with process troubleshooting, setup, and optimization
Familiarity with quality standards, SPC, and production metrics
Ability to read technical drawings and process documentation
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
