Support Kiwassa Neighbourhood House as a Seniors Program Activity Worker, focusing on community engagement and inclusivity. This part time, onsite position emphasizes crafting activities for seniors to enhance their social connections. In this role, you’ll plan and facilitate activities that cater to the diverse needs of seniors, ensuring both safety and inclusion.
You will actively participate in programming efforts while collaborating with community partners to broaden outreach. This 18-month contract lets you make a lasting impact on senior lives in East Vancouver. Key Responsibilities:
Plan engaging programming tailored to seniors' needs
Ensure safety in all activities as per Kiwassa standards
Participate in the Seniors Advisory Committee activities
Manage event registrations and logistics
Foster community relationships and expand program reach Requirements:
Certificate in a relevant discipline required
Minimum of six months in a service delivery setting
At least three months working with seniors
Certification in Emergency First Aid is preferred
Solid communication and organizational skills Contribute to a welcoming workplace for seniors and enhance community bonds at Kiwassa Neighbourhood House.
