Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Our Customer Enablement

Team within the Customer and Transit Operations Division is looking for a Senior Project Officer to lead the implementation of approved operational strategies and business efficiency initiatives through the end-to-end management of projects using established project management standards. This includes working with and leading cross-functional teams to understand customer experience trends, industry best practices and to ensure project quality and deliverability.

What will I be doing?

- Lead and deliver customer experience and strategic business initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Define project scope, asses solution options, and develop policies, procedures, design standards, specifications, and contract requirements that support business objectives.
- Assess project requirements, organizational readiness, change impacts, technical feasibility, and business case viability to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develop and manage project plans, including resource allocation, budgets, quality management, stakeholder engagement, communications, and acceptance criteria.
- Build and lead cross-functional teams and governance committees to drive alignment, informed decision-making, and successful implementation.
- Create and enhance business processes, policies,



and procedures to support operational excellence and project delivery objectives.
- Direct and coordinate project team activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, budgets, risk management practices, and change management requirements.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops, define business requirements, and translate complex challenges into practical solutions.

- Strong project management expertise, including planning, execution, risk management, change management, and successful delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and changing requirements.
