Verve Senior Living is seeking a Senior Property Accountant dedicated to the financial operations of residences. This role plays a key part in enhancing financial integrity and compliance. Under the Controller's guidance, this accountant will cover the entire monthly accounting cycle, working primarily with one long-term care site and other retirement residences.
Responsibilities include financial reporting, variance analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. A university degree in accounting is essential, as well as ongoing CPA studies and a minimum of two to three years of relevant experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full accounting cycle for assigned residences
- Develop and analyze financial reports and variance statements
- Prepare and file all regulatory returns as scheduled
- Advise residences on financial issues as needed
- Support internal audits and compliance tasks Requirements:
- Accounting degree with ongoing CPA designation
- Minimum of 2-3 years of advanced accounting experience
- Proficient in Excel and computerized accounting systems
- Solid analytical and communication skills
