Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Indigenous Relations, this role focuses on building and sustaining relationships through dedicated community engagement and support.
The Indigenous Engagement
Manager will guide project teams on regulatory considerations, and coordinate efforts to promote employment and contracting prospects for Indigenous individuals. Your contributions will be essential in implementing Aecon’s commitment to community-driven development. Key Responsibilities:
Organize community meetings and consultation sessions
Advise project teams on Indigenous engagement best practices
Collaborate on training and capacity-building initiatives
Support Indigenous businesses in procurement efforts
Serve as a mediator in conflict resolution Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Indigenous Studies or Social Sciences
Proven experience with Indigenous organizations in construction
Knowledge of Indigenous culture and values
Solid interpersonal and communication abilities
Ability to travel to various project locations Shape the future of infrastructure by championing Indigenous relations within Aecon's projects.
