Hours of Work:
Willingness to pick up a variety of shifts including the overnight shift 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm & 11pm -7am
Availability to work weekends if needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent with multi-tasking and working in a team environment
- Great communication skills over the phone and in person
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams) required
- Experience working in retirement setting with seniors or health care setting is preferred.
- Willingness to work overnight shifts if needed.
- Willingness to do light housekeeping tasks.
- "People person" who enjoys spending time with older adults
- A person who is both self-motivated and self-directed
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and relevant office equipment
- Patience, tolerance and politeness when responding to residents and visitors.
- Excellent ability to speak, read and write English.
- Must be able to follow oral and written directions and to do simple arithmetic calculations.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multi-task and is well organized.
- Some background in cleaning for the night shift duties
Responsibilities:
- Present a positive and qualified image of the residence to the public.
- Provide administrative support as required.
- Provide initial face-to-face and telephone contact with visitors. Provide direction to visitors and callers and/or notify appropriate people as required.
- Provide personal and telephone contact with residents.
Attend to the needs of the residents and/or notify appropriate people as required.
- Maintain confidentiality
- Be knowledgeable of and practice residence's fire and safety programs.
- Screening visitors and staff for COVID symptoms
- Monitor security of the building
