Battalia Workforce is currently hiring an experienced Handyman for a high-rise construction project in Ottawa. We are staffing for a very reputable construction developer in Ottawa. We are looking for a versatile, skilled individual with strong experience in both rough construction and finishing work.
The ideal candidate is a true all-around handyman who can work throughout the entire construction process, from the early stages of a project through to final completion and deficiency work.
Responsibilities
Perform general handyman and construction duties throughout the project
Assist with rough construction, framing, drywall, and repairs
Complete finishing work including trim, baseboards, doors, hardware, and touch-ups
Complete deficiencies, repairs, and final finishing work
Perform various carpentry and general construction tasks
Assist other trades when required
Read basic plans, measurements,
and project instructions
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area
Identify and resolve minor construction issues independently
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in handyman, carpentry, or general construction
Strong knowledge of both rough and finishing construction
Understands PDI and Prep Work
High-rise or residential construction experience is an asset
Proficient with common hand and power tools
Solid problem-solving and practical skills
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
Robust attention to detail and quality workmanship
