Join our team as a Health Care Aide and make a meaningful impact by providing essential care and support to patients in their home setting. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with their daily activities, medication reminder, monitoring vital signs, and offering emotional support.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and assistance to patients in homes, nursing homes, or hospice care settings
Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Administer medications following healthcare professionals' instructions
Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure and temperature
Assist with mobility, transfers, and heavy lifting when required
Offer emotional support and companionship to patients
Follow care plans diligently to ensure patient safety and well-being
Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary
Qualifications:
Experience in caregiving roles such as home care, nursing home, dementia care, senior care, or hospice care is advantageous
Knowledge of patient care techniques and procedures
Effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care
Robust attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Physical stamina for tasks involving heavy lifting or prolonged standing
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Opening for a Female Caregiver/HCA ( speaking preferred) Preferred if you have a car but if you don't have a car then candidate is willing to work in NE part of Calgary.
Cargiver must be able to work in NE Calgary (Mon to Friday , 8am to 4pm)
