The Senior Salesforce Health Cloud Solutions Architect & Integration Developer will take technical ownership of our Salesforce ecosystem.
You will translate clinical, operational and business requirements into scalable solutions using Salesforce configuration, custom development, APIs and modern web technologies.
This is a hands-on role combining:
- Salesforce solution architecture
- Salesforce Health Cloud expertise
- Custom Salesforce development
- API and systems integration
- Portal and user-interface development
- Data security and governance
- Technical documentation and quality assurance
This is not a Salesforce administrator-only position. The successful candidate must be comfortable designing the solution and developing its most complex components. Key ResponsibilitiesSalesforce Architecture and Development
- Assess the existing Salesforce and Health Cloud environment.
- Design a scalable architecture supporting clients, practitioners, partners and internal teams.
- Configure and customize Salesforce objects, workflows, permissions, automation and reporting.
- Develop custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL and Salesforce Flow.
- Create reusable components that limit unnecessary technical debt.
- Establish clear development, testing and deployment standards.
- Identify when native Salesforce functionality should be used and when custom development is justified.
Interfaces and Digital Experiences
- Build intuitive interfaces for clients, healthcare practitioners, partners and administrators.
- Develop and customize Salesforce Experience Cloud portals when appropriate.
- Connect Salesforce with external websites and applications, including modern front-end environments such as Next.js or React.
- Ensure interfaces are responsive, accessible, bilingual-ready and easy to use.
- Create secure, role-based experiences adapted to different user groups.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to transform user journeys into functional digital experiences.
API and Systems Integration
- Design and develop secure REST and SOAP API integrations.
- Connect Salesforce with payment, scheduling, communications, analytics, authentication and content platforms.
- Support integrations with systems such as Stripe, Microsoft 365, Google services and other healthcare or business applications.
- Implement webhooks, middleware or event-driven integrations where appropriate.
- Manage data synchronization, error handling, monitoring and integration logs.
- Evaluate third-party applications before recommending custom development.
Health Cloud and Data Management
- Configure Health Cloud data models and workflows based on Effica’s care-delivery requirements.
- Support client profiles, assessments, care journeys, practitioner workflows and partner referrals.
- Design secure access controls for sensitive personal and health-related information.
- Maintain data quality, consistency and traceability across connected systems.
- Apply privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles.
- Ensure solutions support applicable Canadian privacy, security and data-residency requirements.
- Work with leadership and subject-matter experts to document data governance and retention rules.
Delivery and Technical Leadership
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and implementation plans.
- Provide realistic estimates, dependencies, risks and solution options.
- Create architecture diagrams, data mappings and technical documentation.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain development standards.
- Manage deployments across development, testing and production environments.
- Troubleshoot performance, integration and data-quality issues.
- Support internal users and transfer knowledge to the team.
- Coordinate effectively with external developers, vendors and implementation partners.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of hands-on Salesforce implementation and development experience.
- Robust experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or another complex Salesforce industry cloud.
- Advanced knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Salesforce Flow and security controls.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing API integrations.
- Experience developing customer, partner or practitioner portals.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets and role-based access.
- Experience with source control, automated testing and structured deployment processes.
- Ability to work across business requirements, user experience and technical architecture.
- Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional fluency in English.
Strong Assets
- Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, Platform Developer or Health Cloud certification.
- Experience with Experience Cloud.
- Experience with Next.js, React, JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience integrating Stripe or other payment platforms.
- Experience with identity management, single sign-on and OAuth.
- Familiarity with MuleSoft or other integration platforms.
- Experience working with healthcare, telehealth or regulated data.
- Understanding of Canadian health-information privacy requirements.
- Experience designing bilingual English/French platforms.
- Professional fluency in English
