BPL Hydroseeding & Environmental, a division of Raincoast Erosion Control Ltd., is seeking an experienced Hydroseed Truck Driver to join our team. This is a full time position based out of our Salmon Arm, BC yard, with travel to project sites throughout the BC Interior.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Secure operation of a hydroseed truck and associated equipment on highway, industrial and remote resource roads
Loading, mixing and applying hydroseed slurry (mulch, seed, tackifier, fertilizer) to specification
Pre-trip and post-trip inspections, daily logs and hours of service compliance
Water loading, tank management and hose and nozzle setup on site
Routine maintenance, cleaning and minor field repairs of the truck and pump system
Securing loads and protected transport of materials, hoses and small equipment
Following all company, client and WorkSafeBC site safety procedures
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Valid BC Class 3 driver's licence with air brake endorsement
Clean driver's abstract
Experience operating heavy trucks on gravel and resource roads
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Willingness to travel and stay out of town when project work requires it
Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a small crew
Legally entitled to work in Canada
ASSETS
Hydroseeding, vacuum truck or water truck experience
Occupational First Aid Level 1
WHMIS certification
BC-CESCL certification or erosion and sediment control experience
Resource road radio protocol training
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
$28.00 - $38.00 per hour, paid biweekly, based on experience
40+ hours per week with overtime available during peak season
Subsistence and accommodation provided for out-of-town work
Company-supplied PPE and tools
