Indigenous individuals in navigating the criminal justice system. In this full time term position, you will work directly with Indigenous relatives to develop and implement healing-oriented plans. As a cultural guide, you will utilize trauma-informed practices to prepare Gladue Reports, fostering accountability and wellness within the community. Collaborate with First Nations, Elders, and local organizations to create effective support systems. Key Responsibilities:
Gather life histories through interviews with affected individuals
Facilitate access to essential community-based support services
Prepare and submit Gladue Reports reflecting individual stories
Monitor Healing & Wellness Plans to ensure ongoing support
Promote culturally safe and healing-centered program delivery Requirements:
Post-secondary qualification in Indigenous studies or related fields
Proven experience in restorative justice and engagement with communities
Robust understanding of Gladue and Indigenous justice systems
Robust communication, networking, and organizational skills
Flexibility to travel and work outside regular hours as needed Make a meaningful impact in Indigenous communities through this vital role.
