We are seeking one or two experienced, compassionate and dependable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide in-home care for an older gentleman in downtown Toronto.

We are looking for someone who is not only experienced and capable, but also patient, respectful and attentive, with a genuine commitment to providing protected and compassionate care that supports the client’s comfort, dignity and independence at home.

Closest Main Intersection:

Yonge Street and Front Street

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, subject to the client’s care needs

Hours: Approximately 3 hours per day to start, split between:
2 hours during the day
1 hour in the evening

Start/End Times:
Versatile and based on the client’s needs. Specific timing can be discussed with the successful candidate(s).

Qualifications & Requirements The ideal candidate will:
Have experience providing personal care to male clients, including individuals living with dementia, diabetes and Parkinson’s disease




Be experienced and comfortable assisting with wheelchair and pivot transfers
Be reliable, punctual and adaptable, including the ability to work split shifts as required
Be confident working independently in a private home environment
Communicate clearly and be attentive and responsive to changes in the client’s care needs
Be familiar with and able to follow basic first aid, safe food handling, workplace safety, and infection prevention and control practices
Be in positive health and have all required vaccinations up to date

Required Documentation:
Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Current CPR certification
Proof of $2, 000, 000 Commercial General Liability Insurance
Proof of $25, 000 Abuse Liability Insurance

Compensation:
Hourly compensation will be in accordance with the current rate established by Ontario Health atHome.

Pay: $37.99-$38.00 per hour
