Enhance mental health support as a Senior Youth Counsellor at Wood's Homes in Calgary. Engage with children, youth, and families through structured programming and therapeutic interventions. Wood's Homes, a not-for-profit mental health centre, is seeking a full-time Senior Youth & Family Counsellor.
This role requires working rotating shifts to provide supportive care to clients within a structured environment. You'll be actively involved in case management and maintaining a safe and engaging living space. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement structured programs for personal and social development
- Attend and contribute to case conferences and training sessions
- Manage crisis situations and support client admissions
- Uphold a protected living environment according to licensing guidelines
- Provide leadership and operational guidance to program staff Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences or related fields
- Four years of experience with youth in residential settings
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and personal transportation
