Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and team members to ensure competitive pricing. Your expertise will help drive successful project bids and contribute to the growth of our company.
Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive estimates
Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals
Conduct thorough market research to determine current pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and clients to negotiate pricing and scope adjustments
Prepare bid packages, proposals, and supporting documentation in a timely manner
Analyze project risks and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality
Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and related correspondence
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction estimating with a robust understanding of electrical systems and projects
Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software
Solid knowledge of construction processes, materials pricing, and labor costs
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build robust relationships with vendors and clients
Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Construction experience is highly preferred; relevant certifications or training are a plus
