Become the Terrestrial Biologist at ʔAkisq̓nuk First Nation, where ecology meets Indigenous knowledge. This full-time position is a blend of outdoor fieldwork and technical data management. In your role supporting the Lands and Environment Manager, you will help shape cutting-edge conservation strategies through the integration of Indigenous insights.

With responsibilities spanning ecological surveys to engaging with various stakeholders, your work will significantly impact the community’s wildlife stewardship and land conservation efforts. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct wildlife and ecological surveys in the field
Design and implement monitoring programs
Perform statistical analyses on habitat data
Support grant proposals and strategic planning
Prepare technical documentation and engage in consultations Requirements:
Degree in Biology or a related discipline
Registered Skilled Biologist (RP Bio) or eligible
At least 2 years of practical field experience
Solid analytical skills in data collection
Knowledge of Indigenous customs and environmental practices Harness your skills in biology and passion for ecosystems to support the mission of the ʔAkisq̓nuk First Nation.
