APPRENTICE HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC (EAST SHOP) - GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)
The Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic isresponsible for the maintenance and mechanical workings of all vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Ensure thatTrican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority inall activities
Operate a hoistand lift device to position machinery in a safe manner
Inspect andexamine vehicles and equipment
Service,diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform otherroutine maintenance work
Keep up to datewith industry standards and regulations




Provides guidanceand instruction to less experienced operators, or apprentice maintenancepersonnel
Experience& Skills:
Apprenticeshipstatus as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, 2nd and/or 3rd year preferred.
Previousexperience in a Field Mechanic role will also be considered
CVIP inspectionlicense an asset
Valid Class 1license preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5
Safe drivingskills: driver’s abstract will be requested
Physically fit –heavy lifting required
Excellentcommunication skills, both written and verbal
