Become the Director of Police Services for the Richmond RCMP, leading strategic operations and community safety initiatives. This key role requires solid leadership and operational oversight. The City of Richmond, BC, seeks an accomplished Director of Police Services to enhance civilian support for the RCMP Detachment.

This position is essential for providing strategic leadership, managing a team, and ensuring effective communication with various stakeholders. Your oversight of over 90 employees will influence diverse areas of policing and community services. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee operations of 90+ staff and auxiliary personnel
Manage an operating budget close to $90 million
Create and implement strategies for community engagement




Work alongside HR for recruitment and performance management
Serve as liaison to City Council for safety-related matters Requirements:
University degree in relevant field like Public Safety
Five years of leadership experience mandatory
Knowledge of policing regulations and community safety
Proficient in strategic planning and conflict management
Must possess a BC Driver’s License and RCMP Enhanced Security clearance Lead community support and police service enhancement strategies in this pivotal position.
