Performance, part of Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT), is seeking a software development engineer to design, build, and maintain our critical purchase order and supply chain performance systems. Each time we procure inventory, there are critical financial and operational decisions that must be made, and performance standards that our vendors and internal teams must meet to ensure an optimal retail experience for our customers.

Sourcing

Performance team owns the software systems that make key decisions about Purchase Orders (POs), create and transmit POs to vendors, measure vendor performance against standards and policies, and use feedback, coaching, and financial chargebacks to drive vendors to reduce defects in the supply chain. Design system architecture and develop software in an AWS cloud setting Enhance our web portals and create agentic experiences for thousands of product vendors and internal employees Create unit and integration tests Monitor system performance, deep-dive into the root cause of important issues and defects Acquire the domain knowledge necessary to understand how Amazon’s supply chain operates to serve our customers Together, you and your engineering teammates, technical and product managers will work to invent the next generation of Sourcing Performance services at Amazon, improve the way that we source and procure inventory,

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
