We’re building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world. You will be joining CIBC’s Digital Technology group serving retail and small business customers. This group provides strategic partnership, production support and project execution to three primary internet sites (CIBC Online Banking, cibc.As a Senior Java developer, you will be a key chapter member of the cross-functional Squad supporting CIBC’s Digital Transformation, successfully implementing complex, enterprise-scale solutions on modern platforms with a variety of system integrations and patterns.

You will develop and implement solutions to the main Digital channels hands-on, under the guidance of Chapter leads and Product Owner. You will also be part of the exciting journey to enhance our systems in the Cloud and AI technology. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Key deliverables also include good-quality test cases and documentation. Be good at coding complex systems and business logic effectively.

and troubleshooting and have sound understanding of performance tuning You can demonstrate robust experience in: Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, Web Services (SOAP, JSON and RESTFul); Proven and solid hands‑on experience in Microservices and API development with at least 5 years of experience in Java development in the enterprise environment. Be familiar with Agile methodologies and Cloud environments (Azure/OCP, Kubernetes or equivalent) You play an active role in the developer community and help to grow and strengthen it.
