Duties
Design and deliver comprehensive computer science lessons tailored to students’ age and skill levels, including topics such as programming, hardware, software applications, and internet safety
Facilitate hands-on activities in computer labs or classroom settings to reinforce theoretical concepts through practical application
Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods and materials to ensure inclusive learning experiences
Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement
Maintain a protected and organized classroom environment conducive to active learning and exploration
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that align with educational standards and institutional goals
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student performance and progress in technology courses
Skills
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching computer science or related subjects in a classroom setting
Strong knowledge of mathematics as it relates to programming logic and problem-solving techniques
Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Experience working with students requiring special education accommodations or modifications
Laboratory experience with computer hardware setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting is highly desirable
Ability to create engaging lesson plans that motivate students and foster curiosity about technology
Familiarity with educational software tools, coding languages, and digital resources used in contemporary classrooms
