Join our energetic Cattle Crew and become a vital part of a thriving agricultural operation. In this energetic role, you will assist with daily cattle care, ensure the health and safety of the herd, and support farm operations through hands-on work. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop practical skills, and contribute to a productive farming setting.
Assist with herding and moving cattle safely using appropriate low stress techniques.
Perform routine checks of cattle for signs of health issues or injuries.
Receive, sort, and ship cattle daily.
Operate farm machinery such as tractors and bobcat.
Maintain clean and organized work areas around pens and barns.
Process incoming cattle
Follow all safety protocols related to handling livestock and operating machinery to ensure a secure work environment
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience handling cattle, experience 'checking' cattle is an asset, but training can be provided for the right person.
Basic understanding of animal behavior and herd management practices is advantageous
Robust physical stamina with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards hands-on tasks and physical activity
