COBOL Programmer/ Production Support Engineer to support and enhance a core banking deposit platform. If you have solid COBOL development experience, production support expertise, and a background in banking systems, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide production support for a core deposit platform and monitor nightly batch jobs.
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, batch failures, and application issues.
Develop and enhance COBOL programs and Linux Shell scripts.
Work with Oracle SQL/PLSQL for data extraction and analysis.
Support system upgrades, testing, and change management activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams while following SDLC processes.
Required Skills:
4–6 years of COBOL development and production support experience.
Strong COBOL programming and debugging skills.
Hands-on experience with Control-M or similar enterprise job schedulers.
Solid Linux/Unix Shell scripting experience.
Oracle SQL & PL/SQL knowledge.
Experience working in Linux/Unix production settings.
Familiarity with Jira, SDLC, and change management processes.
Banking domain knowledge (deposits, interest calculations, debits/credits, General Ledger) is required.
OpenVMS DCL experience is a plus.
