DescriptionAbout the Client:We are seeking a compassionate caregiver for a 63-year-old woman experiencing memory changes and cognitive challenges. She has lived a mostly healthy life but has recently developed delusions and hallucinations, believing neighbors are talking about her. Her memory difficulties have progressed over the past three years, and she now struggles with isolation as she has stopped driving and seeing friends. She previously cared for her son with autism but has been alone during weekdays while her husband works. She speaks Spanish as her first language and has limited English proficiency due to her cognitive decline. She is independent with mobility and personal care but needs support with daily activities, companionship, and motivation to stay engaged.Responsibilities:Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolationAssist with light housekeeping, cleaning, and laundryPrepare meals and ensure proper nutritionProvide medication reminders and ensure daily complianceEncourage and facilitate physical activity, including walks to nearby parks and outdoor exercise areasMotivate client to participate in community day programsProvide transportation to appointments, errands, and activitiesHelp with grocery shopping and other errandsOffer memory prompts and gentle redirection when neededCreate a calm, supportive environment that respects her independenceWhat We're Looking For:Fluent Spanish speaker with explicit English communication skillsPSW certification with experience supporting clients with memory changes and cognitive challengesPatient,



calm demeanor with ability to handle delusions and behavioral changesStrong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapportValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to take initiative and communicate clearly with familyExperience encouraging clients to engage in activities and social programsRespectful of client independence while providing necessary supportSchedule:Starting with two visits per week on flexible days (Tuesday and Thursday preferred), from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Schedule may increase to four days per week for 2-3 hours daily as the relationship develops and client becomes comfortable.
