This role offers crisis intervention, assessment, and therapeutic activities for those in need. As part of the multidisciplinary team in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program, you will provide essential support to clients facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Your responsibilities include developing safety plans and conducting both individual and group therapeutic sessions for youth and parents. A nurturing, proactive approach is essential in this impactful role. Key Responsibilities:
Provide crisis stabilization and assessment for clients
Develop and implement safety plans and therapeutic activities
Conduct individual and group sessions for youth and parents
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal care
Support mental health and withdrawal management practices Requirements:
Child and Youth Worker Diploma from an accredited college
Registered with the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Counsellors
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum two years of mental health experience
Bilingualism in English and French required Drive positive change in mental health through crisis stabilization and supportive therapeutic practices.
