We are seeing Senior level Engineer to work within their Development Engineering team. Thus, we are looking for a Hot Runner Design Engineer.

The successful candidate will lead the technical development of packaging products working with business development, completing engineering, and subsequent launch into manufacturing operations. System level design with limited guidance, frequently in the absence of specific design standards. Work within a team of Engineers/Design Specialists in the development of new Injection Molding tooling products following appropriate steps within a formal product development process.

Guide and approve the content of design documents and validation plans. Apply scientific/engineering principles design execution. as well as material selection and application of design standards. Provide leadership, mentoring and training to team members.

Create system level concept designs in various levels of detail including function block diagrams, CAD layouts, functional decomposition. Lead and contribute to design reviews and brainstorming sessions. Participate in or lead continuous improvement activities.

Verify all concept and systems level process steps of the product development process and Product Release process are followed. Design risk mitigation including participation or facilitation of FMEA.



Champion of product compliance with regulatory requirements.

Cross discipline interaction and communication including cross discipline inputs - Business Development, Analysis, Electrical, Software, Fluid Power, Metallurgy, Manufacturing, Validation/Test. Represent company technically in front of customers, suppliers and technical partners. Represent the Innovation and Sustainability department in front of internal customers including the executive.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering a MUST 10 + years of design experience in a relevant industry. ~ Extensive experience in Hot Runner or Mold/Mould Design and Development ~ Specialized knowledge within injection molding, tooling and or plastics processing market. ~ Skilled in CAD modeling techniques - Any 3D Software such as Inventor, NX or comparable ~ Expert in calculating design parameters and applying engineering principles to design. ~ Advanced understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes related to injection molding tooling. ~ A flexible team player. ~ Experience selecting appropriate materials and sizing various components. (as well as material selection and application of design standards. ~ Manufacturing, Validation/Test. ~ Represent company technically in front of customers, suppliers and technical partners. ~ Represent the Innovation and Sustainability department in front of internal customers including the executive. ~ Well-rounded - hands-on mechanical ability and passion for interests and hobbies outside of work.
