About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and physically capable Batch Loader/Production Operator to join our sauce manufacturing team. This role is critical to product quality and safety — you'll be responsible for accurately reading batch records, weighing and adding the correct ingredients, and loading batches for cooking. Strong basic math skills and careful attention to detail are a must, as errors in ingredient selection or quantity can affect an entire production batch.
Key Responsibilities
Read and follow batch records/production recipes accurately
Weigh out ingredients precisely according to specifications
Double-check ingredient selection to avoid substitutions or errors
Load weighed ingredients into mixing/cooking equipment
Operate and monitor equipment during batch cooking
Lift and move ingredients and materials weighing up to 50 lbs
Connect/disconnect hoses, clamps,
and pumps as part of batch transfer processes
Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with food safety standards
Follow all workplace safety and food safety procedures
Requirements
Comfortable with basic math and calculations (weights, ratios, unit conversions)
Strong attention to detail — able to stay focused and avoid mix-ups under repetitive tasks
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
Basic familiarity with hoses, clamps, and pumps preferred (training provided if needed)
Reliable and punctual — able to work a consistent 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule, Monday to Friday
Valid work permit required to work in Canada
Must wear anti-slip/slip-resistant footwear (required PPE)
Previous food manufacturing/production experience an asset but not required
