Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial trucks following all federal, state, and company regulations to deliver freight efficiently and securely
Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with transportation laws
Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse teams, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of heavy machinery
Experience
Valid AZ commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation or similar logistics roles
Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment used for loading and unloading cargo
Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road or at the yard
Familiarity with federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards related to commercial trucking
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy freight, climbing into trucks, and standing for extended periods
