STAR AUTO SERVICE LTD is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team in Edmonton. A Journeyman licence is not required, but the successful candidate must have hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles.
Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
Perform general vehicle maintenance and repairs
Repair brake, steering, suspension, cooling, and other automotive systems
Remove and replace engines and transmissions
Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems
Complete assigned repairs accurately and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Communicate with the service manager regarding repair progress and additional issues
Requirements
Previous professional experience as an automotive mechanic
Good knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures
Ability to replace engines and transmissions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working knowledge of English
Valid driver’s licence
Reliable transportation to and from work
Canadian automotive repair experience is preferred
Personal tools are preferred but not required
Journeyman certification is not required
