Become a creative force as an Arts and Culture Instructor focused on woodworking at the Town of Oakville. Engage various age groups through agile class offerings at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre. This part-time position will involve leading and preparing woodworking classes while ensuring all programming is secure and inclusive.
You’ll develop activities that captivate learners, contributing to the Town’s mission of fostering an artistic community. This role requires a combination of teaching experience and woodworking expertise. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and lead comprehensive woodworking classes
Research creative programming for diverse participants
Provide an inclusive and positive learning environment
Assist in achieving Town departmental objectives
Develop and design lesson plans for engagement Requirements:
Enrollment in or completion of relevant educational programs
Solid knowledge of fine woodworking techniques
Proven experience with lesson planning
Previous teaching experience in a diverse setting
Must obtain a criminal record check and First Aid certification Leverage your woodworking knowledge and instructional abilities to enrich the community through creative arts.
