Join BCIT as a part time Assistant Instructor in the Prosthetics and Orthotics program.
Your role will encompass supporting practical instruction and overseeing student activities in the fabrication lab. This temporary position entails approximately 49 hours over 14 weeks, with versatile scheduling for half-day and full-day shifts. You will assist in preparing labs, conduct demonstrations, and maintain an effective learning atmosphere.
Working alongside experienced faculty, your contributions will ensure students receive comprehensive guidance and support in their prosthetic fabrication techniques. Key Responsibilities:
Set up and assist with prosthetic lab activities
Provide technical demonstrations in fabrication
Supervise and guide student work during labs
Maintain organization and cleanliness in lab settings
Collaborate with instructors to enhance teaching practices Requirements:
Preferred OPC Registered Prosthetic Technician
Proficient in fabricating prosthetic devices
Solid focus on laboratory safety
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
