Lead the District Highway Operations as an Area Manager with the Public Service Commission in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. This permanent, full time role focuses on highway maintenance and infrastructure development.

The Area

Manager will work directly with the District Director to create innovative programs addressing infrastructure demands. This position involves key responsibilities like maintaining roads and bridges, ensuring traffic safety, and liaising with municipal and federal representatives. Your leadership will drive the objectives of the Public Works Department while fostering a cooperative work culture. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee highway and bridge maintenance programs
Implement snow and ice control services




Manage traffic safety and roadway operations
Liaise with government and external stakeholders
Administer cost-sharing agreements and department initiatives Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Skilled Engineer registration or eligibility
Experience in public infrastructure management
Strong communication and leadership skills
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel Make a significant impact in infrastructure management and lead projects that enhance public safety and development in Nova Scotia.
