We are currently seeking an experienced Assessing Specialist to support nuclear project execution activities in Pickering. This role is well-suited for candidates with solid expertise in OPG procedures, work planning, and inspection/test planning within regulated settings.
This position is highly focused on ITP and work package development, supporting engineering and project execution teams in a structured nuclear setting.
Key Responsibilities
Perform OPG AS9 Assessing activities in accordance with site procedures
Lead and support Workplan preparation, review, and approvals
Develop detailed Work Packages, including:
Lift Plans
FME (Foreign Material Exclusion) Plans
Confined Space Plans
Prepare, review, and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
Ensure all documentation aligns with OPG standards and nuclear quality requirements
Collaborate with engineering, construction,
and QA teams to support project delivery
Mandatory Requirements
Experience working with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) or a vendor supporting OPG
Proven experience with OPG AS9 Assessing
Strong background in OPG Work Planning (Preparation / Review / Approval)
Hands-on experience with Work Package preparation (lift plans, FME plans, confined space plans, etc.)
Extensive experience with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) (Preparation / Review / Approval)
Nice to Have
Previous experience supporting projects at OPG sites (Pickering/Darlington)
Experience working with vendors such as Framatome
Strong understanding of QA/QC processes in nuclear or regulated industries
