We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Apprentice with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience to join our team.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in commercial HVAC and sheet metal installation and be capable of completing day-to-day installation work with limited supervision while continuing to work toward Journeyperson / Red Seal certification.

Responsibilities
Install commercial HVAC ductwork and ventilation systems
Install ducts, fittings, VAV boxes, grilles, diffusers, vents and related HVAC components
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install sheet metal components
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and specifications
Take accurate field measurements and make necessary in office modifications
Assist with layout and fabrication of ductwork and sheet metal systems
Use hand tools, power tools and sheet metal equipment safely and effectively
Inspect completed work and identify installation issues or deficiencies
Coordinate installations with Journeypersons, Foremen and other construction trades
Ensure work is completed according to drawings,



specifications and applicable codes
Maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality
Follow all company and site safety requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 4 years of sheet metal experience required
Solid commercial HVAC and ductwork installation experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and specifications
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation techniques
Ability to accurately measure, cut, shape and install sheet metal
Experience taking field measurements and making in office adjustments
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to troubleshoot and solve installation problems in the field
Knowledge of applicable construction and safety requirements
Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
