As a Licensed Mechanic, you'll report to the Fleet Services Manager in the Public Works Department. Your expertise will ensure the safety and reliability of our heavy and medium-duty vehicles, including specialized equipment. This role requires proficiency in diagnostics, repairs, and the use of OEM software, along with a commitment to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair the City’s fleet of vehicles - Diagnose issues using manufacturer specifications - Perform mechanical repairs on various vehicle components - Conduct routine servicing, including oil changes and tune-ups - Respond to emergency vehicle breakdowns
Requirements: - Valid 310T and 310S licenses in valuable standing - Ozone Depletion Certificate - Experience with heavy equipment maintenance preferred - Valid DZ driver’s license - Strong knowledge of electronic and hydraulic systems
