Located in the James Bay area of Québec, this Lead Mechanic position incorporates 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule. You will diagnose and repair diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Mentoring apprentices and ensuring quality control in your team's work will be crucial as you manage daily priorities and inventories in the mechanic shop.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform skilled mechanical maintenance and repairs on various systems
• Train apprentices and junior mechanics effectively
• Schedule daily work and maintain shop inventory




• Conduct emergency repairs on equipment as required
• Ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently
Requirements:
• Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of underground mechanical experience
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics
• Experience with Maclean, Cat, and Sandvik equipment
• Basic computer skills in Word and Excel
