This casual, full time position based in Central Zone, Nova Scotia, requires a two-year certificate in Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation. You will assist the interdisciplinary team in implementing individual treatment programs and enhancing patient communication. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are fundamental for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in delivering therapeutic services to rehabilitation patients
• Collaborate with the Recreation Therapist and treatment team
• Implement individualized treatment programs as directed
• Provide patient-specific information for improved care
• Engage in ongoing communication with the treatment team
Requirements:
• Grade XII plus a two-year certificate in Recreation/Therapeutic Recreation
• Current CPR certification is mandatory
• Preferred: St. John Ambulance First Aid course
• Asset: Certification in Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
• Ability to provide a criminal record check
