2 Contract Sections Ojibway Language Teacher Secondary Contract Teaching Position

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate of Qualification and qualified to teach in the Intermediate and/or Senior divisions, in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations.

Preference will be given to applicants who are currently members in good standing with the Ontario College of teachers and possess a current Certificate of Qualification (Intermediate/Senior divisions).



Candidates must have proficiency, both written and verbal, in Ojibway language. In addition, preference will be given to candidates who have attained intermediate level, both written and verbal, in Ojibway language according to the American Council on the teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) proficiency guidelines. It is also necessary to have working knowledge of the Anishinaabe history and culture.

$57,408 - $120,054 Annually (based on 1.0 FTE); salary grid is based on QECO rating and teaching experience; annual salary is prorated based on FTE; grid rate effective September 1, 2026
