Lead student learning as an Intermediate Teacher at Cayoosh Elementary School in Lillooet, BC. This 1.0 FTE position emphasizes integrating Indigenous culture and diverse teaching strategies.
Cayoosh Elementary serves approximately 170 students in Grades 4 through 7, with a significant Indigenous student population. The successful candidate will possess or be eligible for teaching certification in British Columbia and have a solid understanding of the BC curriculum. This role requires effective assessment practices and the ability to create a positive classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
• Integrate Indigenous culture into curriculum effectively
• Use various teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
• Maintain strong organization and classroom management
• Foster positive relationships with students and community
Requirements:
