Drive for School District No. 91 as a Casual Bus Driver in Fort St. James. Flexibility is key as you operate school buses for transporting students on various routes and trips.
This casual position offers no guaranteed hours but requires a BC Class 2 Driver's License with air brake endorsement and a clean driving record. You'll be responsible for transporting students for their curricular and extra-curricular programs while ensuring open communication with parents and school staff. Regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks will also be part of your routine.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive school buses on regular routes
• Support student transportation for activities
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections
• Maintain effective communication with school community
• Ensure preventative maintenance on buses
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 (Dogwood) certificate
• BC Class 2 Driver’s License with necessary endorsements
• First Aid Certificate and CPR training
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and defensive driving experience
• At least 6 months operating Class 2 vehicles
