SalaryRange: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
Overview of the Position
TheDirector, Community Investment and 211 PEI will lead the United Way PEI’scommunity impact and investment stream and manage United Way’s communityinitiatives and projects, including 211PEI.The individual will be involved in strengthening community partnershipsand relationships with key stakeholders that focus on addressing the mostpressing social issues in our region.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the relationship with fundedagencies, including applications and process, ongoing support and reporting.
Develop shared indicators andprovide support for impact measurement with funded partners.
Develop and oversee an outreachand stakeholder engagement strategy for 211 PEI.
Ensure 211 national andprovincial regulatory compliance and standards are met and adopt best practicesto improve efficiency and responsiveness to clients.
Collect and/or conduct analysisof provincial-wide data, support the improvement of performance and qualityindicators and inform strategic decision-making.
Act as a liaison and manage keyrelationships with stakeholders including, but not limited to: UWCC 211 Canadian lead, 211 Canadian Leadership Table, 211NS, FindHelp and Media Platforms.
Provide support and guidance tothe 211 team to ensure standards and compliance issues are addressed, the 211PEI database adheres with current AIRS standards, and data quality standardsare met with a focus on coverage,
currency, accuracy, and usability.
Assist in communityproblem-solving initiatives and collaborative efforts with agencies, communityorganizations and funders with respect to relevant social service issues.
Stay current with andunderstand social and community issues, assess government funding initiativesand policies, and recommend appropriate roles and responses for UWPEI.
Qualifications
Strong passion for the work ofUnited Way and 211 PEI and for serving individuals and communities
Demonstrated project managementskills
Experience successfullymanaging team performance, administrative and business processes
Robust written and oralcommunication and facilitation skills
Demonstrated relationshipmanagement expertise
Ability to work and leadeffectively with minimal supervision and to excel in a performance-basedenvironment
Extensive knowledge andunderstanding of the social services service network on PEI
Understanding of data analyticsand applications within the social services sector
Highlydeveloped analytical skills with ability to conduct research and useindependent judgment to problem-solve
Ability to work independentlyand to allocate time and other resources effectively
A positive and proactiveoutlook with an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team toachievecommon goals
United Way of Prince Edward Island and Community Foundation of PEI to deliver Emergency Community Support Fund to Island charities
$585,000 in combined funding will be available for PEI charities and qualified donees.
