Position Overview:
Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Corporate Accountant to join a public accounting firm in Oakville, ON on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records and accounts of corporate clients. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for corporate clients, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax
Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Provide guidance and support to clients on financial matters, including tax strategies and compliance
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of client projects
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and changes in accounting practices and regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, preferably with corporate clients
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial analysis
Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Caseware, TaxPrep etc
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience with Caseware and Taxprep software is an asset
