TRAVEL TRANSPORT, situated in Orangeville, ON, is currently looking for applications for the role of Truck driver who is a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The selected candidate must start work promptly. The available positions are for Permanent employment or full time jobs. The shift times for this position are Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night and Flexible hours.

The candidate must load and unload goods.
The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
The candidate must inspect the vehicle’s condition, including the brakes, tires, lights, and other essential components.
The candidate must be able to perform emergency roadside repairs.
The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.
The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
The candidate will be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
The candidate will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
The candidate will be responsible for tarping and ensuring cargo safety and security.
Job Requirements
The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
There are no standard education requirements,
such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
A candidate with experience is an asset.
The candidate must have an AZ class license.
The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
The candidate should be organized and flexible.
The candidate should be reliable.
The candidate should be a good team player.
Work setting
The candidate must work in various locations to support employees stationed at different worksites.
Experience and specialization
Documentation knowledge
The candidate must be knowledgeable about accident or incident reports, driver logbooks, inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip) and maintenance and repair reports.
Type of trucking and equipment
The candidate must have experience in operating flatbed trucks and straight trucks (4,600 kg+ or 10,000 lbs+ with 3+ axles).
The candidate will be responsible for operating the GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigational equipment.

The candidate must undergo basic security clearance.

The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
