Windsor Salt seeks a 309A or 442A Journeyperson Electrician for its Ojibway Mine. This role involves installing and maintaining electrical systems, with responsibilities across surface and underground operations.
As a part of Windsor Salt's maintenance team, you will handle industrial electrical installations and repairs. Candidates will need to work on various shifts and may encounter both surface and underground work environments. You will be engaged in the inspection and diagnosis of electrical systems, ensuring safety and efficiency in a unionized context.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
• Install and maintain wiring and electrical fixtures
• Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and panels
• Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices
• Train workers on electrical tasks and safety
Requirements:
• Ontario College of Skilled Trades certification (442A or 309A)
• Minimum 2 years of industrial electrical experience
• Familiarity with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
• Proficiency in troubleshooting 3-phase motor control
• Basic computer skills (e.g., CAT ET, Windows)
