West Vancouver Schools is seeking passionate Education Assistants to support students with diverse needs. Engage daily with students in a warm learning workplace while assisting with their Individualized Education Plans.

As an Education Assistant, you will work directly under the guidance of a classroom teacher or Learning Support Teacher, contributing to the effective implementation of IEPs for various students. This role requires maintaining safety and providing any personal support necessary, ensuring students can thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on Individualized Education Plans for students
• Facilitate personal assistance and care when necessary
• Maintain vigilance to ensure student safety
• Build relationships with parents and teachers
• Assist with specialized equipment as needed

Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 and relevant post-secondary training
• Experience with supporting challenging behaviors
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to support a variety of student needs
• Driver’s license is a plus
