In this term role, you’ll collaborate with teachers to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other exceptional needs. Flexibility is vital as you assist in wide-ranging duties, from academic support to physical assistance like toileting and swimming. You will be integral to fostering positive educational experiences for students aged 6-21.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with developmental disabilities daily
• Participate in swimming and pool activities
• Help implement special educational programs
• Conduct yard duties and maintain student safety
• Observe and document student progress
Requirements:
• Community college diploma in DSW/CYW or equivalent
• Relevant experience with special needs children
• Behavior management training completed
• First Aid certification is advantageous
• Strong computer skills and teamwork abilities
