Step into an enriching role as an Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) at the SȽEȽEMW̱ Child Development Center, located in WSÁNEĆ traditional territories near Victoria, B.C. Support children’s development through quality programming in a safe, nurturing workplace.

You will assist in delivering care for infants, toddlers, or children aged 3 to 5 years as required. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, you will adhere to Child Care Licensing Regulations while ensuring health, safety, and nutrition standards for the children. This role requires dedication to fostering positive child interactions and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and delivering quality child care programs
• Ensure safety, health, and nutrition for children




• Work under the direction of the Program Coordinator
• Follow Child Care Licensing Regulations and WSB policies
• Support children during various program activities

Requirements:
• EC Assistant Certificate is mandatory
• Minimum one year relevant experience required
• Valid Child First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Criminal Record Check and BC Class 5 Driver’s License
• Preference for candidates of First Nations Ancestry
